Wholesale CBD flower prices in the U.S. swing widely, from well under $100 per pound for outdoor biomass-grade buds to several hundred dollars for greenhouse and indoor flower. The grow method, trim style, potency and order size explain most of that gap. Below you will find the market benchmarks, a way to calculate your real cost per pound, and a side-by-side look at three Ideal Plus wholesale strains: Blues, Critical Berries and Maverick.
There is no single wholesale price, because “CBD flower” covers everything from dried, untrimmed biomass to hand-trimmed indoor buds. Two sources give the clearest picture.
The USDA’s National Hemp Report released April 16, 2026, covering the 2025 crop, put open-grown hand-trimmed floral hemp at $70.50 per pound, with a $235 median. Protected-grown hand-trimmed floral hemp came in at $570 per pound, with a $425 median. These are farm-level survey figures, so treat them as a floor and a reference point, not as a quote you will receive from a supplier shipping tested, packaged flower.
The same USDA report shows how much processing alone moves the number for open-grown floral hemp:
| Form (open-grown, 2025) | USDA price per pound |
|---|---|
| Dried | $3.70 |
| Bucked | $7.05 |
| Hand-trimmed | $70.50 |
| Extracted | $35.80 |
On the spot market, Hemp Benchmarks’ July 2023 report assessed bulk CBD flower at $238 per pound, with a range of $50 to $850. Averages were $672 per pound for indoor, $252 for greenhouse and $129 for outdoor. That is an older snapshot, but the order of the tiers has held up as a rule of thumb.
The direction of travel matters too. Hemp Benchmarks reported that in October 2025 the average price per pound for smokable CBD flower was up 27% over a year earlier. By June 2026, indoor and greenhouse smokable CBD flower prices had risen for a fourth consecutive month. If you are planning a large order, a quote from last year is probably stale.

Indoor flower carries higher energy and labor costs and usually shows denser buds, more visible trichomes and a more consistent finish. Greenhouse sits in the middle, and outdoor is the least expensive. Hemp Benchmarks also points out that average prices for a whole category often shift simply because volume moves between outdoor and indoor supply, not only because demand changed. So an average can rise while no individual supplier changed its list.
Hand-trimmed flower costs more than machine-trimmed, and both cost more than untrimmed. “Full-term” generally means whole-plant, full-size buds, while “smalls” are the smaller buds from the same plants, typically priced lower for buyers who care less about the look of a jar. “Trim” is the leaf and sugar leaf, which is lower again and is usually bought for pre-rolls or processing.
Higher total cannabinoids and a clean COA justify a higher price. Test results also decide whether a batch is sellable at all, which is why a bargain pound without paperwork is rarely a bargain.
Price breaks usually step down at 1 lb, 5 lb and 10 lb and above. Season matters as well: Hemp Benchmarks notes that supply cycles often push biomass and genetics prices down as the growing season progresses, although this varies by market tier. Fall harvest is often when buyers find the most supply.
A low listed price tells you little until you add everything that lands with the box. Use this worksheet for every quote:
A quick example: a $300 pound is $0.66 per gram. Add $25 for shipping and the landed cost is $325, or about $0.72 per gram. A competing $270 pound with $60 shipping and a missing COA lands at $330 and carries more risk.
Some listings sold in bulk are THCA flower, which is a different product category with different buyers and different legal questions. Read the product title and the COA: the CBD or CBDa figure should be the headline cannabinoid. If you are unsure how THC compliance is verified, our guide on what tests keep flower under the legal delta-9 limit explains the testing logic.
A COA should name the batch, the lab, the date and the cannabinoid results, plus contaminant panels. Regulators set a useful benchmark here: Minnesota’s standard for licensed hemp flower requires representative batches to be tested for potency and contaminants including microbes, mycotoxins, heavy metals, pesticides and foreign matter, and it covers bulk flower. Even outside Minnesota, that list is a good checklist for what a supplier’s lab report should cover.
Under the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp must contain 0.3% or less total delta-9 THC on a dry-weight basis, calculated as delta-9 THC plus 0.877 times THCA. The FDA also maintains that CBD cannot be legally marketed as a dietary supplement or added to food, so resellers should position flower as a smokable hemp product and avoid health claims. State rules differ and federal rules are shifting; our posts on federal hemp laws and the November 2026 federal hemp changes are worth reading before you stock up. Check your own state’s licensing and age rules, and ask a cannabis or hemp attorney before you resell at scale.

Blues, Critical Berries and Maverick are all sold through our wholesale line, which offers full-term flower, smalls and trim. We do not publish a fixed wholesale price in this article, because pack-size pricing is shown on each product page and can change with harvest and supply. What you can compare today is how each strain fits a buyer’s needs.

| Best for | Retailers wanting a distinct berry-style menu item | Shops wanting full-size, jar-ready buds | Buyers prioritizing a high listed cannabinoid total |
How to read the table: if your customers buy by look, start with Critical Berries, whose full-term designation signals whole, full-size buds. If potency drives your shelf, Maverick’s listing shows a total cannabinoid figure above 25%. Blues is a sensible third jar to round out a menu. The cleanest method is to order the smallest wholesale quantity of each, inspect the buds against the COA, and scale the one that moves fastest. For smaller-bud economics, our smalls wholesale collection is the next place to look, and the full-term wholesale collection shows the rest of the lineup.
The two words are often used interchangeably, but they describe different buying situations: wholesale is about reselling at a trade price, while bulk is about quantity. If you are weighing both, our breakdown of wholesale versus bulk CBD flower walks through minimums and who each model suits. Personal buyers who want a larger jar without a business account can browse the retail CBD flower collection instead.
Since buyers also ask which supplier is best, here are the criteria that separate a dependable source from a risky one, described by type rather than by name:
Whichever type you choose, ask for: a batch-specific COA, photos of the actual lot, the minimum order, shipping terms, and how returns or quality disputes are handled. Fresh inventory and reliable stock matter as much as price, because flower that sits too long loses aroma and moisture.
We grow and sell hemp flower with the buyer’s repeat order in mind, so we think about price differently than a spot-market listing does. A pound that arrives fresh, with a COA that matches the jar, is worth more than a cheaper pound you have to second-guess.
Our flower is made with natural and organic ingredients, with no additives, and our products are designed to be THC-free. We respect both indoor and outdoor growing: outdoor brings sun-grown character and lower cost, while indoor brings dense, sparkling buds with consistent trichomes. What matters is being honest about which one you are buying.
For wholesale buyers, we recommend starting with a small trial across two or three strains, then moving up the pound tiers on the one your customers reorder. That is how you keep your cost per gram low without sitting on inventory.

If you have your numbers worked out, you can see current pack sizes and pricing for Ideal Plus CBD wholesale flower, smalls and trim. We also ship pre-rolls, tinctures, vapes and concentrates for retailers who want a fuller menu.
For an individual order, you can also add Shipping Protection at checkout, which is useful on higher-value parcels.
It depends on grade. USDA’s 2025 survey put open-grown hand-trimmed floral hemp at a $235 median per pound and protected-grown at a $425 median. Supplier prices for packaged, tested flower are usually higher than farm-level figures, and indoor flower sits at the top of the range.
Usually yes, because price per pound steps down as order size grows, and you skip jar and packaging costs. Calculate landed cost per gram, including shipping, so you compare like with like.
Minimums vary by supplier and by product. Many wholesale lines start at 1 lb with price breaks at larger quantities. The minimum and pack sizes for each of our strains are shown on its product page.
Read the title and the COA. CBD flower leads with CBD or CBDa as the main cannabinoid, while THCA flower leads with THCA. Both must meet the 0.3% total delta-9 THC limit federally, but they are different products with different customers.
That depends on your state and on whether you resell. Rules differ by state, so confirm local licensing, age and labeling requirements with your state agriculture department or a hemp attorney before buying in volume.
